Be A Camp Counselor
What is Camp Musubi and why should I care?
Camp Musubi is a weeklong day camp (August 20-24, 2007)
that uses fun activities to teach young people about Japanese American
heritage. The goal of the camp is to spark interest in the Japanese
American culture and community through hands-on experiences and
interactions with people in the community. Counselors get to work with
and mentor a group of great campers and have fun throughout the week.
It's a chance to serve and learn, and connect with the Japanese
American community and heritage.
What are the Camp Counselors' Responsibilities?
The basic responsibilities will be to facilitate the camp program
by assisting in the presentation, preparation and execution of activities.
Interns will supervise as well as serve as mentor/role models
for the participants.
What are the total hours?
The total hours will be 50 hours with a stipend of $500.
The program requires 10 hours of training prior to the event. All camp
hours and training hours are MANDATORY. On the week of the day camp,
you will need to arrive at 8:30am and leave around 5pm. The hours for
